By booking or purchasing a tutoring session, you agree to these Terms.1. Services
Speaking Spanish with Mar provides online Spanish tutoring and conversation practice sessions designed to help students improve their Spanish speaking, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and overall communication skills.
Sessions are provided online and may be conducted through video conferencing or another agreed-upon online communication platform.2. Booking and Payment
Tutoring sessions must be paid for before the scheduled session unless otherwise agreed upon.
Prices for tutoring services will be communicated to the student before purchase. By completing a payment, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge the payment method you provide.
All prices are stated in the currency indicated at the time of purchase.3. Scheduling and Attendance
Students are responsible for attending their scheduled sessions at the agreed-upon date and time.
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled session, they should provide as much advance notice as possible.
If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, the session may be considered completed and may not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
If the tutor is unable to attend a scheduled session, the session will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time or, where appropriate, the student will receive a refund for that session.4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Students may request to cancel or reschedule a session by contacting us before the scheduled session.
Requests made with reasonable advance notice may be rescheduled without additional charge, subject to availability.
Repeated late cancellations or missed sessions may not be eligible for rescheduling.
Any specific cancellation or refund terms communicated to the student at the time of purchase will also apply.5. Refunds
Payments for completed tutoring sessions are generally non-refundable.
If a student requests a refund for an unused session, the request will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to the cancellation terms communicated at the time of purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights to refunds that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.6. Free or Introductory Sessions
From time to time, Speaking Spanish with Mar may offer free consultations, introductory sessions, group conversation classes, or other promotional sessions.
Free sessions are provided for their stated promotional or introductory purpose and do not create an obligation to purchase additional services.
Any separate terms communicated for a particular free or promotional session will apply to that session.7. Educational Disclaimer
Tutoring and language-learning services are provided for educational purposes.
While we aim to provide useful, high-quality instruction, we do not guarantee that a student will achieve a particular level of Spanish proficiency, examination result, grade, certification, employment outcome, or other specific result.
A student's progress depends on many factors, including attendance, participation, practice, and individual circumstances.8. Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for:
Providing accurate contact and scheduling information.
Attending sessions on time.
Having a suitable internet connection and the necessary device or equipment to participate.
Participating respectfully during sessions.
Completing any optional practice or assignments provided by the tutor.
We are not responsible for technical problems caused by a student's internet connection, device, software, or other equipment outside our control.9. Tutoring Materials
Any worksheets, exercises, lesson materials, recordings, or other materials provided by Speaking Spanish with Mar are intended for the student's personal educational use unless otherwise stated.
Students may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, publish, or commercially exploit proprietary materials without permission.10. Acceptable Conduct
Students are expected to communicate respectfully with the tutor and other participants.
We reserve the right to discontinue a session or refuse future services if a student engages in abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate behavior.11. Changes to Services
We may occasionally modify our services, pricing, scheduling procedures, or other aspects of the tutoring program.
Changes will not affect services that have already been purchased except where necessary due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Speaking Spanish with Mar will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.
Our total liability relating to any tutoring service will not exceed the amount paid by the student for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where a greater amount is required by applicable law.13. Third-Party Services
Our services may use third-party platforms or services, including payment processors and video-conferencing platforms.
We are not responsible for interruptions, errors, or other issues caused by third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.14. Privacy
Information collected through our website, booking process, and tutoring services may be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.16. Governing Law
